Next race: IRONMAN 70.3 Pays d'Aix

Next Sunday, May 14th, I'll race IRONMAN 70.3 Pays d'Aix in France. A good opportunity to test my fitness level after the full distance race in South Africa. In 2014 I also participated in this race which resulted in a 4th place. 

A hilly bike course with about 1200m elevation gain in a beautiful scenery is being served. Actually this course is similar to my next big goal, IRONMAN Nice, but at half the distance. It will be 2 races in row since the week after I will be racing in Barcelona, an IRONMAN 70.3 as well. 

Over the last weeks intensive workouts have been added to my training schedule in order to gain some speed for these half distance events.
